FIRST DAY

Reception at the airport or land terminal and transfer to the AMAZON ECO LODGE office, for the corresponding records. (Luggage that you do not need during your stay in the jungle can be stored here to avoid transportation inconveniences). You can visit the city’s Plaza de Armas and take photos from the Plaza Grau viewpoint, admiring the confluence of two great rivers: Madre de Dios and Tambopata.

KAYAK AND VISIT TO MONKEY ISLAND

After putting on our life jackets we will board the boat and then go to the kayak and enjoy this adventure, for your safety there will always be a boat that will follow the group accompanying you, a good opportunity to bathe in the waters of the Madre de Dios and be able to de-stress from our activities in the city.

In front of the ECO LODGE there is an island where there is a group of monkeys that are used to humans and that is why it is possible to get close to them, feed them and see their coexistence between different species. It is a beautiful experience with these funny little animals.

Return to our stay in our LODGE, take a break in the afternoon with drinks that our bar can provide and have a majestic view from the hammocks on the banks of the Madre de Dios River, the sunset in front of the monkey island.

CAIMANEADA.- After settling in, you will board a boat with a float, you will travel along the river bank to observe alligators on the beaches, it is also possible to see other animals such as nocturnal birds and Capybaras, which is the largest rodent in the world.

SECOND DAY

LAKE SANDOVAL

8:00 am. We will embark on a boat, in which we will travel along the Madre de Dios River to the entrance of Lake Sandoval for an approximate time of 40 min. Here we will disembark and walk a few minutes until we reach the post of

Control of Lake Sandoval, they will register and we will present their entrance tickets, since this Lake is located in the Tambopata National Reserve. Then we will continue with our trip, making a 3 km walk. for an estimated time of 45 minutes.

During this tour you will have the chance to see a great variety of flora and hopefully a variety of fauna such as birds, monkeys, rodents, arachnids, insects, reptiles and amphibians.

Upon reaching the shores of the lake, you will enjoy a refreshing and relaxing bath in the waters of this majestic lake, which we will leave to your decision, you will taste a delicious and typical jungle lunch and then take a rowing boat and go for a walk through the lake. lake, this time we will look for birds such as hoatzines, cormorants, anhingas, with luck and the best attraction in Lake Sandoval “the playful Lobos de Río”.

In the afternoon, agreeing the time with your guide, you will leave the lake until you reach the banks of the Madre de Dios River, where the boat will be waiting for you to board and take you to AMAZON ECO LODGE.

THIRD DAY

NATIVE FAMILY VISIT

8:00 a.m. Breakfast.

This modern socialized world makes us forget that there are ancient cultures and traditions. A demonstration of the customs of our indigenous peoples, giving the great opportunity to have direct contact with a family of ancient warriors and hunters and to share with them their ancestral customs, as well as being able to help them financially with the purchase of some of their products. that they make themselves.

Rustic fishing

In the afternoon we will continue with our next activity, we will take the boat until we reach a ravine where we will do rustic fishing for fish such as (catfish, maiden, sardines or piranha fish).

Return to the lodge, dinner and rest.

FOURTH DAY

We will start at 8:30 in the morning from our AMAZON ECO LODGE Lodge. We will have a 2-hour tour, the first hour along our interoceanic highway and then along a road with little traffic to reach the banks of the Tambopata river where our boat and motorist They will be waiting for us to continue by river for approximately 30 minutes, upstream until we reach our Lodge “COLLPAS TAMBOPATA INN” we will have chances to see many riverside birds, capybaras, white caimans, arriving at our Lodge we will have a welcome drink and a brief description of all our services during your stay with us. We will provide you with your respective room and then you can walk for a better recognition of the place. After lunch, a brief break to continue with a walk in a primary forest full of thousand-year-old trees with lots of information about the most important economic activities in our department such as “agriculture, mining, logging, the chestnut collection activity or Brazil nut and ecotourism” at the same time we will have chances to look for monkeys and other mammals in their natural habitat.

We will return at sunset to take our flashlights and go to observe alligators, capybaras and perhaps some feline that is near the river at night wanting to hunt something.

After our dinner, if you still have energy, we can take a short night walk in search of insects, arachnids, tarantulas and maybe some snake, armadillo, night monkey or tapir near the Lodge.

FIFTH DAY

We will get up very early and after a delicious coffee, we will continue upstream at 5:00 am for about an hour, with all the sunrise just for us in our boat, the landscape is spectacular and why not say it… we have 20% of chances to see a jaguar or perhaps an anaconda on the shores of our Tambopata National Reserve.

Arriving at our destination, we will find a whole show of parrots and macaws and we will learn closely the reasons why these birds, and many other mammals, need the clay of this wall in their daily diet throughout the year. It is a spectacular show that entertains us from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. approx. Our delicious breakfast will be in front of the Collpa Chuncho.

Having already finished our activity here, we will have a short visit to the checkpoint to learn more in a small museum that is located in this place. We will continue to our hostel to taste our lunch and after a break we can visit the waterfall of the Quebrada el Gato to take a refreshing bath and then learn about some products that are grown in this rich land of Madre de Dios.

When the afternoon begins to dawn, we will take our canoe to go 20 minutes down the river and then the truck for two hours back to Puerto Maldonado.
