Day 1 – Jungle Introduction, Kayak, Monkey Island & Caiman Spotting

- Depart from Puerto Maldonado at 8:00 AM and transfer to Puerto Acosta for a 30-minute motorboat ride along the Madre de Dios River.
- Arrival at the eco-lodge; welcome drink and lodge orientation.
- Guided walk through primary and secondary forest trails, learning about medicinal plants, colorful insects, and giant trees such as the lupuna.
- Afternoon kayaking adventure along calm river waters; optional swim to cool off. Safety boat accompaniment included.
- Visit Monkey Island (15 minutes downstream by boat) to observe capuchin and squirrel monkeys in their natural habitat.
- Evening caiman spotting with headlamps along the riverbanks; chance to see black and dwarf caimans.
- Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2 – Canopy Tower, Lake Sandoval & Night Walk

- Hike 200 meters to a 35-meter-high canopy tower for panoramic jungle views.
- Cross hanging bridges and experience a 190-meter zip-line through the forest canopy.
- Return to lodge for lunch and rest.
- Afternoon: boat ride to the reserve entrance, followed by a 3 km guided hike through lush trails. Wildlife spotting may include macaws, butterflies, and frogs.
- Explore Lake Sandoval by traditional rowboat; observe hoatzins, cormorants, herons, and possibly playful giant river otters.
- Return to lodge in the late afternoon.
- Evening night walk through the forest with a guide, spotting nocturnal wildlife, luminescent fungi, and insects.
- Dinner and overnight stay.

- Early morning visit to the parrot clay lick (Collpa de Loros) around 6:00 AM; witness dozens of macaws and parrots feeding on mineral-rich clay in a spectacular display of color and sound.
- Return to lodge for breakfast.
- Head to a nearby stream for rustic fishing; try catching piranhas, catfish, or sardines using traditional methods.
- Return to lodge, rest, and pack belongings.
- Boat transfer back to Puerto Maldonado, concluding the tour.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING
- Passport or official ID (required for reserve entry).
- Wide-brimmed hat or cap, sunglasses with UV protection.
- Lightweight rain jacket or poncho for sudden showers.
- Insect repellent with at least 30% DEET.
- Sunscreen (minimum SPF 30).
- Lightweight, breathable clothing: long-sleeve shirts, long pants, shorts, t-shirts (preferably quick-dry and light-colored).
- Comfortable hiking shoes or trekking sandals; extra socks for humid conditions.
- Swimwear for kayaking or river bathing.
- Small personal hygiene kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, towel, etc.).
- Headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries (for night walks).
- Camera or smartphone with waterproof protection.
- Small backpack for day excursions.
